..a new lip-gloss from the cult American brand, Kevyn Aucoin with a patented spongey applicator that mimics the look and feel of a make-up artist’s pinky finger. Why do I like it? Well, I adore two colours – Dahliana and Tammabelle that suit my colouring perfectly. Plus, there’s the delicious smell, (very important to me), and that squidgy new applicator makes it so easy to apply. . And in these straightened financial times, nothing raises the spirits more easily than an inexpensive feel-good purchase.
A little bit of history: for those who don’t recognise the name, the late Kevyn Aucoin, who sadly died in 2002, was THE make-up artist of the early eighties and nineties. He was the first choice of countless celebrities and the original posse of “super” supermodels, he wrote colums for magazines and his books were sell-outs. Luckily for us his iconic make-up collection continues under the guidance of Jeanine Lobell, the founder of Stila make-up and was relaunched in the UK in February this year.
