Just occasionally we have to be true to our name and explore the world of wrinkles!
Like many cosmetic treatments, Dermal Fillers have evolved from delivering a scary Wildenstein look to providing an easy, subtle and long-lasting solution for crows feet, lines by the nose and even wrinkly hands.
‘Restylane’ is a very popular dermal filler brand and has been delivered as a treatment over 10 million times across the world in the last 13 years. Restylane lasts between eight months and a year and is perfect for plumping up cheeks, chins, fine facial lines, nose to mouth lines and tear trough hollows under the eyes.
Restylane is a clear gel made from non-animal Hyaluronic Acid which is given in an injection. There are many practitioners who provide the service in London, but Fiona and Marie have been highly recommended to us by one our trusted cosmetic surgeons, Mr Rajiv Grover.
Fiona Collins and Marie Duckett are long-standing experts in skincare treatment, make-up and dermal fillers, and aim to provide a high quality of service using scientifically proven products.
Their procedure takes about 20 minutes – the effect can be seen instantly and does not affect facial expression. It’s probably not sensible to do it the day of a party or special event as you might experience a slight redness, bruising or swelling but that will be gone in a few days. Fiona and Marie also use a similar product called Juvaderm and pointed out that both Restylane and Juvaderm are dissolvable.
Many people we’ve spoken to about cosmetic treatments are torn between accepting it as a process that’s as easy as leg waxing, others firmly believe it’s a step too far in altering the natural effects of ageing.
One particular Wrinkle reader agonised over trying Restylane and didn’t tell a soul when she gave it a go – she finally confessed to her husband when he noticed the slight bruising the treatment initially causes. That said she was delighted by the results and wouldn’t hesitate to have the treatment again.
We would like to know if you’ve had a cosmetic treatment like this, or if you’re firmly against the process. All you have to do is click this link and tell us what you think: Your Wrinkles
