It sounds more like an exercise routine but we assure you its not! As any regular WW reader knows, we are great fans of Sarah Chapman’s products, so we have been trying out her new chin and jaw lift mask. Its probably a treatment you might prefer to do when you are home alone, as for 15 minutes you are required to wear a mask. We were tempted to show you how ridiculous we looked wearing the mask but…We have to be honest its a bit of weird feeling as you stretch the elastic fibre sling along your chin and jawline but comforting to know that its infused with a complex of powerful actives for tightening and sculpting. Sarah suggests you use this product once a week or whenever you feel you need a bit of a lift and use it in conjunction with her rather amazing looking facial massager. To buy click here six sachets cost £38 – if you getting shopping before the 27th July you can take advantage of their special offer and get a free sample of their Age-Repair serum.

As easy as it is to use the internet as Doctor Google, it more often than not results in a sleepiness night having self diagnosed. By the time you have trawled through the pages, its not improbable that you decide that your illness is almost terminal.

To avoid this unnecessary panic and give you access to medical advice from 7am to 7pm, 7 days a week, we want to share this brilliant new site called GP At Home.

Just to assure you, we did not come across it ourselves but were introduced to it by Dr Carolyn Barshall, one of our recommended Black Book doctors. All you need to do is to get registered online and decide which of the membership plans you would like to have. The two founder doctors, Dr Justine Setchell and Dr Fiona Payne, have over thirty years of experience working as General Practitioners within the UK health care system, as well as running their own private clinic.

They are not an emergency service but consider themselves to be an additional support to your NHS or private GP. So the next time you have a weird rash, or some unexplained ache, its bound to be at the weekend or you are possibly even abroad, how easy would it if you were a member and all you had to do was to log on and give your symptoms and wait for an answer. Maximum length of reply time is 2 hours and to give you an idea of the cost, 6 online consultations would cost you £24.99 a month.

To find out more click here

Maybe it’s got something to do with age, but packing for a beach holiday seems to have become less complicated. Time has proven that the maxim “less is more”, truly applies to travelling abroad.
My beach holiday packing list reads like this: for the beach or pool, a couple of bikinis, one swimsuit, two sarongs that match all the aforementioned swimwear and one kaftan, almost certainly white, as it will slip over everything.
I love the idea of adding a multi-purpose maxi skirt to my swimsuit during the day, (see my previous page on How to be a Beach Babe), knowing that I can wear it again in the evening with a funky t-shirt, like the one from Alexander McQueen or a pretty top like the ones by L’Agence.
Add to that two, perhaps three silky jersey dresses that can be worn during the day if you need more than a beach cover-up, but can equally be dressed up in the evening with glitzy flats or heels and some jewellery. These days I rarely pack skirts and tops – dresses are so much simpler to throw on and I find more elegant.
I am still wearing a much-loved Cathryn Avison navy chiffon bias-cut ankle length dress I bought 15 years ago. It comes on every holiday without fail. Don’t panic, even though winter clothes are about to start flooding the shops, there are still plenty of maxi dresses around. My favourites are by Issa, DVF and Mango. My logic is simple – how often do you get to waft around in a dress in the UK and not be reaching for a cardigan or jacket – so when you can, enjoy every moment of the ease of wearing a dress.
I haven’t featured them on the page but I do always throw in a pair of white denim jeans as well as a pair of white cotton trousers.
Even when I’m travelling to somewhere where the mercury rises above 30degrees I tend to throw in a lightweight cashmere cardigan, just in case… and for the same reasons I always take a lightweight pashmina-type shawl. I have ended up shivering in air-conditioned restaurants while outside it is sweltering, and been to France in August when it was 32 degrees the week before I arrived, then the mistral swept in and the temperature plummeted to 21 degrees.
When it comes to accessories, I throw in one pair of silver or gold flat sandals and one pair of strappy heels, plus a pair of flip-flops. Add one evening handbag that goes with everything – I take an old, but still stylish Anya Hindmarch gold and silver clutch bag. Don’t forget sunglasses and a beach bag.
Most of all relax and enjoy.

In the years between 1930 and 1980, some of the best-known photographers from around the world came to London to make work about the city and its communities. Bringing together 180 classic twentieth-century photographs,Another London highlights the vibrancy of the city as a dynamic metropolis, richly diverse and full of contrast.

For these artists London was a foreign city, which they either visited briefly or settled in permanently, and they recorded and represented it in their own unique style and distinctive ways. Emblems of Britishness which might have been familiar to visitors such as pearly kings, red buses and bowler hats are documented alongside the urban poor surviving life in the city as pavement artists, beggars and buskers.

Challenge your own perspective with this rare opportunity to see striking images from renowned photographers including Bill Brandt, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Frank, Dora Maar, Irving Penn and many more.

However, this September the Club will be hosting a party just for adults from 9th to 16th. Think spa treatments, life coaching, wine tasting, back gammon and bridge, for those who want a more chilled out holiday, and if you after activity, there is sailing, tennis, kayaking, windsurfing, fitness sessions and of course swimming.

Glut of strawberries, easy dessert ? Answer : Strawberry Ice Cream

“I love ice cream and particularly strawberry, what better way to finish a dinner party than with a couple of scoops, a splash of Framboise and a few fresh berries. This has to be the easiest ice cream recipe ever invented. Firstly, there is no ice cream maker involved – so none of that having to remember to freeze the dreaded bowl, secondly, because it really is cheats ice cream – it is not custard based or egg based in any way – just simple double cream and thirdly, it does not need beating half way through freezing. All in all a very straight forward process and the end result tastes properly of strawberry, summer and homemade. If however you did have one of those fancy ice cream machines that you plug into the wall, I do think the end result would be more superior if it was churned.”

Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream

500gms of fresh strawberries (hulled) – try and use British they are so, so, so good now

30gms of icing sugar

1/2 pint of double cream

Juice of 1/2 lemon

1. Puree the strawberries with the lemon juice and icing sugar.

2. Whip the cream till it just holds its shape.

3. Now fold in the puree with the cream and freeze.

Hoorah – ice cream made.

This ice cream really benefits from being pulled out of the freezer and left to rest 20 minutes before serving.

I made this last week with a few old meringues crumbled into it transforming it into, you guessed it ‘Eton Mess Ice Cream’ – well worth a go.
